Specs: Windows 10
canon mg4250 printer says there is a paper jam but no paper is in it and i can not reset it i have done all the sugestons with no joy

First, examine carefully because sometimes there is a thin strip of paper torn off and caught in paper path or something is holding down a paper sensor or it might be caught on something and is not returning to its normal position.
Second, Unplug the printer to clear its memory, after a minute plug it in again and see if it helps.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

thanks i have done all that but can not see any paper at all have tryed turning it off and back on and still just get the same mesage

My guess is that it is either paper mashed into an interior
space you haven't looked in yet or parts that are out of
alignment and don't quite fit together properly. You can
look right at it and not see it.

Turning it off is actually not the same thing as unplugging it. When you unplug it, wait a half a minute or so for the capacitors to discharge, then plugging it in again and turning it on, you are forcing the printer to start from scratch and initialize its systems completely. When turning it off, it keeps some things set for a faster start.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
