|There are various ways to clean out a laptop to stop it overheating. The most easiest is to blow out the vents with some compressed air. Make sure that you put something in between the cooling fan to stop it spinning too fast, something like a tooth pick,|
Alternatively if you feel up to it you can dismantle the laptop take out the heatsink and fan and thoroughly clean them and replace the cpu thermal compound too. I did this recently on a Todhiba and its running very cool. Was about 72 degres on idle and would shutdown when a browser was opened, now its running at around 42 degrees on idle and no more shutdown.
