the screen on this desk top is too far to the left
i can not find start button
how can i center the screen

If you can reach the top bar then hold down the left mouse key and drag it so that you can reach the sizing controls at top right. These allow you to either have full screen (which should fit) or to switch so that you can pull any of the edges in with the left mouse key.

The above gives many options to play with in order to suit your sizing preferences.

Reply #1 is if it is the Desktop that is not centered.
Reply #2 is if it is only a single window (browser, program, etc.).
Since you say Start Button, I am thinking it is the Desktop so it will be the monitor controls and/or settings to fix this (right click on blank space on desktop and select Display Properties and check the settings and adjustments).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
