I’ve not made up an HDD/sdd password?

Specs: Windows 10
Turn on and computer asks for HDD/sdd password and I’ve never made one up or knowingly made one up and I’ve owned from new.

It would help to know the make/model of the laptop.

You can try the links provided by Johnw but HDD/SSD security wouldn't be much good if it's easy to bypass. From what I know about it, it's almost impossible for the average user to crack, & manufacturers generally won't help unless you can provide proof of ownership.

What happens if you leave the password field blank and just hit Enter?

I've had my new Win 10 machine ask for a password when doing Admin type stuff. Since I never set up a password, just hitting Enter has worked every time.
