If I choose Firefox as my default browser, will I still have all my Task Bar items, like my FILES shortcut?
First, the title you choose for this thread and the way you described the problem are really two different things. I hope the following satisfies what you are looking for. Question 1: Is Microsoft Edge giving anyone problems
Answer 1: You will have your answer by Googling for Microsoft Edge problems
Question 2: If I choose Firefox as my default browser, will I still have all my Task Bar items, like my FILES shortcut?
Answer 2: Once again google for firefox menu bar shortcut

Thank you for your replies...and I realized after the fact that I had posed two different problems. I will give Google a try. I'm old, and need all the help I can get. :)

If you already have Firefox installed making it default browser loses nothing. In fact you will hardly notice the change. The main difference is that when you click on links (in email, or links saved elsewhere) then Firefox will open instead of IE if they are suitable. You can always change your default preference later. If you haven't already got Firefox then when installing it you get offered the chance for it to collect all your favorites and favorites bar links from IE. I'm assuming that's what you mean by taskbar (but that is something else at the bottom of the screen). Once again whatever is already set in IE does not get affected in any way.
In summary Firefox is an "add-on" program. Installing it has no effect on IE or the computer.
