Specs: Windows 10, 4 gb
I typed Get Help in Cortana text box and clicked left mouse button. Instead of getting Virtual Agent, I got Black Screen on Aspire 5738 with tiny blue spinning wheel for just few seconds then mouse pointer and laptop hung up!
Really Strange. Please Help.

If there are any LED lights still on or fan running, hold down the power button until all is completely off. Wait a half a minute and press the power button to start. If it starts fairly normally, click on the start button and select Restart from the shut down menu (NOT shut down and start over, restart clears memory of items that shut down saves. After restarting, run ADWCleaner and after that is complete run Malwarebytes. Remove all they find. Copy and paste the logs in individual replies to this post for review. You are more likely having problems with malware than Windows itself or your browser and these two programs will remove much of that junk that has settled in. The logs are for others to determine if you still need additional help removing any remnants. Clearing your browser histories and running the built in disk cleanup are also good ideas though some prefer to run Ccleaner program instead.

There are many users have reported the problem.

Have you installed all the latest updates?

Install all the updates and check if the issue is resolved.

Method 1: If the issue still persist, run System Maintenance troubleshooter and check if the issue is resolved.

Step 1: Type Troubleshooting in the search bar next to Start button, and press Enter.

Step 2: Select View all from the left side panel, and click on System Maintenance.

Step 3: Follow the On-screen instructions.

I don't need to run any malware, adware or disk cleaner software. I'm very much sure that it is NOT a virus problem and there is absolutely nothing wrong with HDD.

All the latest updates are successfully installed. System maintenance is set to run weekly. The steps mentioned in your reply are not USABLE, these steps aren't in the Settings. You forgot to provide the LINK mentioned in your response about Cortana!
