Solved In Windows 10 -- What does the Xbox app do?

I'll ask this here while I still can...

Way down at the bottom of the list of All apps in the
Start Menu in Windows 10 is "Xbox". Since I'm pretty
sure that clicking on it wouldn't make an Xbox appear
next to me, what does it actually do?

If I recall correctly, I disabled it somehow after the last
time I re-installed Windows, but the only entry I see in
my notes is that I disabled the Xbox Live Networking
Service. I didn't uninstall it. So maybe it would do
something if I were to click on it. I've had the computer
for over four years now, and haven't clicked on it yet...

Well, that was adequate.

Basically it allows communication between a PC and
an Xbox, plus does a few functions related to Xbox on
its own, and many of those are functions that can be
done some other way. It does not make a PC act like
an Xbox.
