Specs: Windows 10, Dual Core 3GB RAM
In Windows 10, Nero Burning ROM (old version) still allowed Joliet (relaxed filenames) CDFS burns onto DVD+-RW and DVD-R, which I needed to playback music videos on an In-Dash DVD Receiver - The receiver could play back certain AVI, MP4, MP3, and WMA files but not others of the same 'container' - The In-Dash would NOT playback NTFS exFAT or UDF burns, ONLY CDFS. Had to use AVC (AnyBodiesVideoConverter) to convert incompatible videos to "xBox Custom AVI". This combination allows highly compressed video and audio files to be archived and played back, without wasting a lot of space burning DVD Video equivalents. It took a year of testing different formats, video codecs, etc., etc., on DVD+-RW's before finding the correct compatibility paths for this In Dash Receiver. Even the manufacturer's technical support had no idea how to go about converting existing mp4, webm, etc., to the correct compatible AVI format.
HOWEVER, as noted years prior, later versions of Windows had some problems (as Windows 10 does now) reading DVDs written in CDFS format with Nero Burning ROM - even though the app and burn occurred on the originating Win10 PC ! At least I can now reliably burn for the In-Dash - I would not have tried this path without seeing this Computing.Net discussion - THANK YOU ALL - Scotty
