in laymans terms, what is benefit of Realtek GBE Family Controller?
Our local computer store added this to computer. Please advise its purpose and usefulness.
That's the network controller for connecting to the internet (or network) thru an ethernet cable rather than wirelessly. Almost all computers have an ethernet port integrated into the motherboard. Were you having problems with your network connection? Did the computer store add a network card because the integrated connection was bad?
