And are you absolutely "sure" you want to run Norton? There are other (free) anti-virus utils about... Several of them get excellent comments here...

We can suggest some small free programs to break the back of the 442 issues if you so wish.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I doubt that a brand new laptop has 442 issues unless you have been using it on the internet without an antivirus program.
Maybe your new laptop is smarter than you are and does not want that junk installed on it. There are better free antivirus programs and some even better than those (in my opinion).
If you like we can suggest some.
If you really want Norton installed on your laptop then I suggest that since you have paid for it and therefore paid for support for it so you should contact Norton for the help you need to install it properly. There should be a Support page on their web site and there should be a few options for help there.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Since when does installing NAV tell you it won't install because your computer has 442 issues on it? What issues does it say you have?

Your leaving out copious amounts of information here, tell us exactly how you are installing it and what the issues it's reporting, along with any other information you can provide.

Yes indeed, 442 issues sounds like the output from some scam or other. Opinions vary about Norton but they certainly do not do that sort of thing. Where did you get this Norton from - is it genuine?

As I said, we can help, but as most Norton posters never return then from my standpoint I'll await a response first.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Sorry for the delay. May I know how did you download Norton?

Gentlemen stay away from Norton. It is hands down the worst Virus Protection on the market. If it didnt have Symantec written all over it I would say it come from the same developers that created Vista. Ha!!
