Ok I understand now.

If you still want to try to use RW discs, try using the CD burner XP Pro program, it may be that Windows wants the RW disc to be formatted in the UDF format which allows multisession burning but isn't necessary if you're just creating a single session disc.

Which burner app/software are you using in win-10?

And how are you creating DVDs?

Just my .02 but CD-RW's should not be used for permanent storage. They are prone to degrading over time and multi session has always had its issues such as previous sessions disappearing after burning a new session. Use a CD and just dump as much as you can on a single burn or better yet, spend a little more and burn to a DVD. They are physically more robust.

I am creating DVDs with a combination of Camtasia and Cyberlink. I am using W10 burn features to work with CD-RW. I was able to burn to a CD-R, but cannot seem to use the stack of CD-RW I have available.

Your posts are rather confusing. You say your creating DVD's, then you say your using Windows 10 burn features to work with CD-RW. So what type of disc are you really using, DVD's or CD's?

If you're using DVD discs, Windows 10 won't burn DVD's it has nothing to do with it being RW.

Go here and download and install CD Burner XP. It's free, has no adds or malware and will burn CD's & DVD's.

I still don't recommend RW discs for long term storage, too unstable.

THX 1138-sorry for the confusion.
I am able to create DVDs using DVD +R and Camtasia software.
I am able to burn CD-R using W10.

Cannot burn to CD-RW using W10. I do not intend to use CD-RW for long term storage, just to give away some digital photos for others to load onto their computers. I've used CD R instead

Thanks for the tip on CD Burner XP
