Solved How to stop sharp annoying whistle from built-in speakers?

Specs: Windows 10, 4 gb
I have Acer Aspire 5738. Lately as soon as I increase the volume using speaker icon in task bar from Mute, speakers start whistling sharply which is really annoying. I have run audio play back trouble shooter but it doesn't detect any problem. PLEASE HELP!

Per chance this might be feedback (howl round as some of us used to call it in the olde days)... So check to see if the microphone active? If is - switch it off...
