Specs: Windows 10, i7/64 GIG
WHEN I SAVE EMAIL JPEG FILES WITH A NEW NAME, THE NEW PHOTO IS OVERLAYED WITH A SMALL BLUE BOX WITH TWO ARROWS ( >> ) DIRECTED TO THE RIGHT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT CAUSES IT, BUT WHAT THE PURPOSE IS, BUT IT OBSCURES MUCH OF THE PHOTO, ESPECIALLY WHEN VIEWING THUMBNAILS.

We need to know both the program you are using to save
the photos and the program you are using to view them.

Also, details about how you save the photos.

I suspect that the photos haven't been altered at all, and the
arrows are just your email program showing you that these
photos have been moved or copied to somewhere else.

Did you save the photos on your computer? Can you find
them with Windows File Explorer and view them?

It does sound a bit like a shortcut?

You mention thumbnails. Are you able you able to view the images without the Interference of the >> symbols?

Equally - you say they’re emailed images?

How are you viewing them initially? If using a preview then that facility usually has its own storage folder and that can be located by looking at the information shown during the “save file as” routine? There ought to be destination shown?

You should also be aware that it is considered bad manners to use upper case in forums. It makes your post hard to read an should be avoided.
