Type wordpad into search next the Start button.

The Search should find it but if not search for wordpad.exe or:

There should be a shortcut to it at:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Windows Accessories
(this can be copied to the desktop but don't delete it)

On a 32 bit machine the actual program is here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe

This is the location for a 64 bit machine:
C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Click on the Start Icon, scroll down to Windows Accessories, expand that list and you will find WordPad in there.

It might be me having a bad day (I do have these LOL) but this is Win 10 and I found no Windows Accessories - I recall it on Win 7 tho.

Just noticed your title refers to NotePad but your text to WordPad. These are two different things. If you are with us, which one do you mean?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

It is in W10 Derek.

"Just noticed your title refers to NotePad but your text to WordPad"
Won't matter, just typing anything the OP wants into search will find it.

George
Glad to hear you sorted it and thanks for letting us know.

Yeah - must have been using my blind eye and maybe my blind mouse too. As for search well I use it all the time and it comes up trumps. Not so good for system stuff but I have "SwiftSearch" for that.

Yep, even partial words like pad, note or word get you straight to a number of options/choices.

"Not so good for system stuff but I have "SwiftSearch" for that"
I have been using "UltraSearch" for many, many years.
