Solved How to fix Windows 10 updater?

Dell / Insperion

Specs: Windows 10, Core i5/4Gb
I can not update Windows 10. When I try, I get error message: 0x800f0900. I ran the Windows troubleshooter but that did not help. I then ran tweaking.com and found out that there were four bad digital signatures that affect installing Windows updates. I took a screen shot of the tweaking.com results which can be found at

Is there an automated program that will solve this problem?

Thank you.

KB4056887 is a security fix for adobe flash player. The 4 files from the package that are marked "corrupt" are for AMD64. It appears your computer has an Intel Core i5 so I doubt those files are needed for your system.

Double check you are running it this way & let it finish.

Disable your antivirus program before running Windows Repair.

Run Tweaking.com - Windows Repair
Right click on the exe & click on > Run as administrator. Once open, go into Safe Mode as per this screenshot.

Please note that after installing Tweaking.com and restarting in Safe Mode, run ALL prescan recommendations as these are important to the fix most of the time. It will take time but follow all recommendations. I have used it to fix Windows update in Windows 7 as well as a few other problems. Good Luck.

"I ran tweaking.com according to your suggestions but still had the same problem"
Fair enough Brian W, as long as you are happy.

There is always a clean install (delete all partitions after backing everything important up, create new partition and reinstall from scratch).
