How do I add Word Document and Excel to me Desktop or Browser on Windows 10? I had these on my computer before I changed the Hard drive to solid state? Thank You. William

If you just want them on the task bar, the easiest way is to open the program and while it is open right click on the icon there and select 'Pin to Task Bar'. repeat for each program.
To place it on the desktop search for the program, right click on it and select 'Send To...Desktop as Shortcut' If the option is not there you may need to open Computer (My PC), navigate to it on the C drive and do it there.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

The traditional EXE for Word was Winword.exe and the one for Excel. was Excel.exe. Unless something has changed, find them and make your shortcuts to them.

Another way is to find them in Startup (under Microsoft Office), right click each one and select "More" then "Open file location". Right click the file in the location and select Create Shortcut. It will offer to put it on the desktop.

Not too sure about later MS Office versions so to be sure we need to know what Office version you are using.

Interesting but these do not include Word or Excel icons, which is what this post is about.
