Specs: Windows 10
I am trying to play a DVD from my PC and watch on the TV.
They are connected by CAT6 cable.

I suppose it is streaming, but I am not sure.

use a HDMI cable, most modern TV's have a port like that, pretty much all PC's/laptops also do.

Thanks, I know that, but the TV and the PC are far from each other. I'll just need to connect with wi-fi.

I'm not sure myself if you can do it that way, however if your TV can acces the local network (either via wifi or with a cat cable) you should be able to acces a shared folder on the PC's harddrive.

Or if you don't like the hassle, buy something called a chrome-cast for roughly 35$.

You can't stream video from a computer to a TV over an Ethernet cable. The Ethernet input on your TV is used for receiving data for things like Netflix, Hulu, and other apps built into smart TV's.

"I am trying to play a DVD from my PC and watch on the TV"

Why not just connect a standalone DVD player to the TV? You can get one for under $30 these days.
