✔ Best Answer
If the computer has a CD/DVD drive then it should be able to read the CD's you have.
Try reinstalling the driver for the optical drive from the Dell site.
Try deleting the machine from Device Manager (do not remove software if asked) and restarting the computer. It should find the drive and reinstall it with the current driver.
You can use an external CD/DVD player via USB port if the internal drive is not working, they are not expensive.
You can try a different computer and copy the files to a flash drive to transfer them over to your machine.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

What exactly is the message you're seeing? That D is corrupt? Or you don't have a D drive? If you look at File Explorer, is there a D drive showing?

Doing the best I can here... And remember, there's always more than one path to success. :)
