Solved How do i get maximise minimise to work on title bar

Specs: Windows 10
My maximise minimise icon will not work. If i try to drag the page it resizes to half the screen or a tiny picture on the roll of the mouse. How can I restore use of the icon?

Which browser are you using? You're talking about these, right? Try moving your mouse to the top of the page. If it doesn't changed to a double-headed arrow, it's already maximized. Click the minimize icon, if the size doesn't change, it's already minimized but something (or someone) made it too big. Just move the mouse to the top of the page until it does become a double-headed arrow, then click/hold & pull it to the size you want. Do the same with the sides. Now that you have a smaller window on the screen, click maximize again. Then toggle back & forth to see if it works correctly.

"If i try to drag the page it resizes to half the screen" - it's supposed to do that. It's a feature called "snap".

"or a tiny picture on the roll of the mouse" - I'm not sure what you mean.

It sounds like it might be "Snap Assist" that is getting into your hair. This is about sizing multiple Windows on the screen. You could try turning it off by going to "Settings cog > System > Multi-tasking". You then select "Arrange windows automatically by dragging them to the sides or corners of the screen" and move the slider immediately below it to Off.

The other possibility (probably less likely) is that it is down to "Snap to Edge", which is about automatically moving a Window to the edge when it is near to it. If you want to try turning that off go to Control Panel > Ease of Access Center. Under "Explore all settings", click "Make the mouse easier to use". Under "Make it easier to manage windows" select the "Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen" check box.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
