how do I fix black screen?

Specs: Windows 10
black screen win10 OS. First it was script error in IE11. then it was IE11 shutting down and rebooting without warning. Now I get a black screen and have to shut off the computer and re start. what do I do to fix it?

It depends what's wrong with it, whatever is causing the problem.

You could try a different monitor.
You could try Factory Restore.
You could try a new GPU.
You could ask someone to look at it who knows what they are doing.

Try this. I will check the logs.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it onto your Desktop. If your default download location is not the Desktop, drag it out of it's location onto the Desktop.

Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) on the Desktop.
The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt).
The logs are large, upload them using Zippy ( No account/registration needed ) or upload to a site of your choosing. Give us the links please.

Safe Mode can help to get out of black screen on Windows 10.
Step 1. Boot computer to Safe Mode with Networking.
Step 2. Press Windows key + C.
Step 3. Select Settings and Change PC settings.
Step 4. Select Update and recovery and Windows Update.
Step 5. Select View details and Check for updates. Under Optional, install the updates.
