Specs: Win10 64bit, i5 23220@3Ghz, 8GB RAM
My desktop yahoo works fine but checking mail on cell phone gives wrong password message ?
How can I use same password for cell phone and desktop for yahoo mail?

The authentication should be the same regardless of where you're logging in. Are you using a complex password? It's probably just a simple matter of you're not entering the password correctly on the phone.

This problem seems to occur quite frequently with yahoo (mail and messenger) when on iOS devices (iPhones/iPads) and possibly it's common to other types too?

Presuming you have (or are) entering the password (correctly then it's likely an issue with yahoo user-name/password recognition - yet again.

The worst case solution is to re-install/reconfigure the app or mail account for your phone. I've done that several times with both iPhone and iPad in order to resolve the "error". And also found the "error message" simply resolved itself overnight - without need to re-instal yahoo mail account...

You have me doubting my fingers. But on the cheery side you confirm that the yahoo password,willl work to access the mail be it from my desktop be it from my mobile phone.

Many thanks for the long answer . I have replied to our colleague beachyhbt points.
This maybe something to do with my service provider vodafone.
I'm going to go back to the message I see when I try to log into Yahoo.

I also have a never used gmail account. I activated and sent a message to it from the desktop yahoo.
That works fine.

There must be something in the cell phone blocking yahoo mail
Any ideas chaps
