Google chrome does not load.

June 23, 2018 at 09:57:32
Specs: Windows 10
So I closed Google chrome with task manager, now when I try to load it up it does not load. If I hover over the icon the page is apparently up and if I press a notification I can see the page but the tab won't come up.

I don't have a virus because I've checked with 2 scanners and both said I'm virus-free. Please help!

You didn't state which AV program(s) you ran so we have no idea if they're good ones or not. I recommend BitDefender Free Edition as the primary main AV: https://www.bitdefender.com/solutio...

You should also regularly run a cleaner such as CCleaner-Slim: https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/b...

For malware, run AdwCleaner & MalwareBytes: https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcle...

Reboot after scanning the system, then install the latest version of Chrome: https://www.google.com/chrome/

If you shut down your computer and then started up again, try a Restart instead. The reason I suggest this is on Win 10 that is more of a reset because it doesn't use the speed start which is based on your last usage.

The other thing you could try which goes even further is to turn off the computer and unplug the power cord. If it's a laptop then remove the main battery too. Finally hold the Power Off/On button for about 20 seconds which discharges the motherboard components. See if that helps when you start up again.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Assuming you've run ADWCleaner and MalwareBytes (as given) then have you tried uninstall re-install? You can keep your browsing data. Fair number of hits in Google for Chrome not loading.
