Deleting a bloatware app

December 13, 2016 at 09:04:30
Specs: several
Just installed Windows 10 on new HP laptop. The install
included some bloatware which I'm removing. Priceline.com
has a tile on the Start Menu. When I right-click on it I get the
option to Uninstall, but clicking on that takes me to the Windows
Programs and Features Control Panel, where there is no entry
for Priceline.com.

Whaddo I do?

"Whaddo I do?"

Doing a Google search would have been a good start:

Try using Revo Uninstaller to remove it, it's free.

Looks like the Priceline.com shortcut goes to a program
called WizLink.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Shared.
It might do nothing more than start the default browser
and go to Priceline.com.

Guess I'll make do for now with unpinning the tile.

I just installed CCleaner. I see that it lists quite a few more
"Programs to Remove" than are in Windows Programs and
Features Control Panel. It doesn't include either Priceline.com
or WizLink.exe, though.
