My new HP Windows 10 notebook computer came bundled with
Cyberlink Power Media Player 14 and Cyberlink PowerDirector.
Is/are there any reason(s) to use these rather than VLC Media
Player, which I see I downloaded December 26 but haven't yet
installed? I don't care to agree to Cyberlink's EULA if I'm not
going to use it.

No reason at all why you should use Cyberlink. I too have it onboard but found it bloated with (from memory) various features I would never use. I installed VLC and am quite happy with its versatility. Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
Thanks, Derek. If you haven't already reached the legal limit,
I may mark your reply as 'best answer'.

There's no legal limit LOL. Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
I have a new computer with both installed, should I delete Cyberlink?
Steen Entirely up to you. VLC can be set to run whatever file types you wish leaving Cyberlink on board. It will obviously take up space but that's all. Well, it might update at times.
Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
I just noticed yesterday that there were a few bits and pieces of
Cyberlink hanging around after having uninstalled it months ago,
so I deleted them.
