Correct password but can't login?

October 7, 2015 at 16:15:30
Specs: Windows 64
We took my friend's laptop down to Staples for them to load windows 10 over windows 8 when we got it back we went to my friend's house and after much fooling around we finally got a password it would accept and even opened her account on Face Book. But I took it home with me because all of the tiles on the screen were jumbled and I was going to try to fix them but when I tried to log in it kept refusing the password that I was trying to use so after many tries I finally gave up but am still interested in getting this fixed for her. would you please advise?

What password are you looking for? A login password to the Operating system? Or something else? Perhaps you could be more specific.

If Staples worked on it, did you check with them?

If it's the Windows login password see if this helps:

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

So, you know the password, but it won't accept it. When you entered it correctly, were you typing it in with one finger very carefully or were you just typing away trying different passwords quickly? Is the password very long and complicated? Does it have spaces, caps, or symbols? Maybe you don't really know it. You moved locations. Try positioning yourself at the keyboard in the same way. For the life of me, I can't enter my own passwords standing up sometimes. Maybe its the lack of blood to my brain, lol.
