copying a file onto different computer

How are the computers connected? What method are you using to copy the file? Where is the original file stored? Where are you trying to put it on the target computer? What do you mean "the file will appear for a short time"? What do you actually see? I'm guessing that you do not see the file. Put the file on a USB stick then see if you can see if it can be seen on the stick on the other computer. Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
