Specs: Windows, 4gb
My HP notebook is displaying a white screen when switched. What to connect to external Led with HDMI cable, it detects the connection of the HDMI cable but nothing shows on the TV. And am using an external keyboard with no FN key, which combination of keys should I press to switch to the external monitor? Thanks for the help in advance..

If the built in keyboard does not work you will need to purchase USB keyboard that has the F keys. According to what I see you need to hit the F4 key being Fn+F4 on the laptop keyboard which is the same as F4 on a full sized keyboard. Apparently some HP's use F1 instead so you may need to experiment.

The Laptops keyboard is not working so am using an external keyboard. If I press and hold the windows logo key plus the Function keys starting from F1 to F12, nothing happens. Some beep others don't. I release my hand from the windows logo key and only press the F1 up to F12 but nothing happens. Am connecting it to a Samsung smart TV with an HDMI cable since both machines don't have a VGA port. The TV sees the HDMI connection but report that, I should check my source settings.

The F Keys on the external keyboard are the same as the Fn + F keys on the internal keyboard. The reason for the Fn key is because the notebook keyboard is too small for the additional row of keys that are very seldom used.
Let me get this straight, your monitor is showing white screen and the keyboard is not working plus the external monitor is not activating plus the TV tells you that basically that there is no video signal other than that is is getting power through it. This appears that the notebook/laptop is not actually working unless there is some other sign that it is actually working that you have not revealed to us (not counting fan sounds).

Everything is working alright. At first it boot and am able to log in and then it will turn white. At times it comes back normal, but this time, it has decided to remain white even if I was logged in. I think the screen needs to be replaced but my problem is not showing on the Television. Am connecting to the TV not external monitor. The TV detects the HDMI cable connection but no video on the screen.
