Solved Configure laptop to resume without entering password

Specs: Microsoft Windows 10 Home, 2 GHz / 4GB
My Dell M4800 laptop is configured to boot without requiring a password. That's good. I like it that way.

If I close the lid I must enter the password when I reopen the lid. That's not good. I don't like it that way.

How can I configure the laptop so that when I reopen the lid the computer will resume where it left off without the need to enter the password?

That option should be in the Power Options Settings.
If the laptop does not use a password to boot then it should not have a password at all so how can it be asking for a password on waking? Not sure how that would/could happen.
Also check screen saver to make sure that there is no password option checked for that.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Didn't find it under Power Options. But did find it at Settings => Accounts => Sign-in options. There is a "Require sign-in" configuration parameter that can be set to "Never" or "When PC wakes from sleep". I changed it to "Never" and looks like my issue is resolved.
