Computer Doesn't Recognize Graphics Card

September 29, 2017 at 16:09:08
Specs: Windows 10
I have a Nvidia Geforce GT 1030. My PC won't recognize it. "Display Adapter" isn't showing up in my device manager. I downloaded the driver for it and tried to install it. I got a message saying that the device was not found. Any help would be great.

Your new graphics card hasn't been detected by your PC, hence the error message when you try to install it's driver.

If you were previously using the motherboard's integrated graphics adapter, you may need to go into the BIOS settings and change it to "PCI Express", then save and exit in order for the graphics card to be recognised.

You didn't list your system specs or at least the make/model of your PC. Did you connect the monitor cable to the new graphics card? Did you enter the BIOS & change the display settings.

Also try another slot if there is one.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
