Is the boot order configured correctly in the BIOS? Your system is attempting to boot from a network drive. It's not finding one so it's telling you to check the cable (to the network drive).

Going back a step... Does the system boot ok if you use the previous OS cd?

Hi, I am afraid I don't have any other os. This was a computer from my old job that was wiped and it has been left to me to put the OS. I burnt the ISO onto a dvd but I'm not sure if I burnt as file instead of image. Could that be it? I am clueless about machines.
Have emailed the IT from work but nothing yet.

"I burnt the ISO onto a dvd but I'm not sure if I burnt as file instead of image. Could that be it? "

Would have helped if you had mentioned that first. If you didn't burn the ISO properly, that is it.
