Specs: Windows 10, i5
Hi

My os : Win10 64 Bit

SSD : 250GB Samsung

Before posting here I searched here for a solution and i only thread that i find is here l Even if i shrink many of the software out there clones entire disk! Tried Macrium Reflect as per a CNET video, it says not possible to clone to my 250 GB ssd and my C drive is only 105GB with some software like AutoCAD etc.

Any solution for this ?

Thanks, Clonezilla won't allow that and this limitation is already written on their website!

And AOMEI Backupper Professional (AB Pro) is $50 , cloning is not allowed in free version.

I am ready to spend $15, $50 the software comes with other things and its useless for me and paying $50 is not good for a single use.

Also tried Paragon, useless one.

i personally use R-Drive image, you can use the 30 days trial - all features work in full for those 30 days. Its a brilliant software but I don't know if it will do what you want, there is no harm in trying... Hope it works

You might also investigate using Acronis, as it's a similar utility to Easus.

And there's also this:

If your old hard drive (or even your secondary storage drive) is a Western Digital drive then you can download a full version of Acronis free from Western Digital and use that.
Make sure that you clone not only the C drive but any System Reserved Partition as well. Assuming that the C drive is less than the new drive or can be shrunk down, it should work.

Doesn't Samsung offer cloning software for download also?

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Yes, they do. But i didn't receive any adapter with SSD, samsung needs their own adapter for their cloning software to detect the SSD.

To my knowledge, AOMEI Backupper Standard (Free) is able to perform disk clone, from larger drive to smaller drive. It is true that the System Clone only available in paid version.

https://www.backup-utility.com/clon...

Check this out. It talks about the free version.

Yes many free software do cloning, but they won't copy the boot related items and hidden partitions.

All of them just copy files in the old disk to new one! Which is not really what I am looking for.

Finally i found a solution, thanks to this guide : Clone HDD to SSD (Smaller One) Windows 10 Guide Both Laptop And PC [Solved]

Now I can boot my Asus laptop from SSD, initial experience its much faster than HDD. Within 4 sec I can open Firefox.

Mods : My problem is now solved, this thread can be closed.
