Cannot burn a downloaded file Win10 Home

I want to burn an windows 10 home operating system to a DVD. I clicked on a link to download it. It is a 16294.1.170916-2023.X64.iso file. I clicked on it but turns out to be a zipped file located in C:\Users\eijge\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Burn\16294.1.170916-2023.X64

When I click on this it opens in my IZARQ unzip program. When I try to extract it, it does not do that.In IZARQ I found two Temporary Burn Folders, one empty, the other with 16294.1.170916-2023.X64 as an IZARQ Iso Archive file, so back to square one. I uninstalled IZARQ to see where it would lead me, but that got me no further.

What do I have to do, to get a burnable file? Is there a link where I can download a non zipped copy?

Any help appreciated. Thank you. Willem1933

I downloaded Windows 10 ISO image and my Nero software that came with my DVD drive had no issue burning it directly without first unzipping it as a separate step. It is very possible that the other recommended software above may do this as well and save you a lot of trouble. Just make sure that you are telling the software to 'Burn an ISO Image to DVD' rather than just 'burning to disk' as in a group of files.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

The 16294.1.170916 file is the Windows ISO File. Extract it then burn that file to a disc with burning software that supports burning ISO's.
If you need a good burning software that supports buring ISO's, then try ImgBurn. It's free and no adware/malware.

If is doesn't work, then download the free version of Winzip and try that.

CDBurnerXP is another free program you can use to burn an ISO to a DVD.

If for some reason you want to open the ISO, I recommend PeaZip rather than WinZip. After it's installed, just right click on the ISO file, select PeaZip, then click "extract" or "open as archive".

I am sorry, but you must have misunderstood my problem. That is that I cannot unzip the zipped *. iso file into a real *.iso file, it stays a zipped file. What I'll try is uninstall this IZARQ program and download the iso file again and then use one of the programs you advised. I'll let you know tomorrow how it went. It is now 00:21 hours here. Thanks for your answers. W

Finally, I think Fingers gave me the best advice. But I don't have Nero, so I decided to use Windows own site and used their download tool when I found out that with that you can also burn a DVD. After that everything went smoothly. Many thanks to all
