Cannot activate Windows Defender

Specs: Windows 10 Pro, Intel 6 Gb
Hi to all,

I am running my laptop under windows 10 Pro. I cannot activate Windows Defender, as it gets deactivated in seconds !

Any idea ? thanks a lot for your hints.

You may have some other antivirus or anti-malware software installed, if you have you'll need to uninstall it.

Unlike previous Windows versions, Windows 10 has antivirus built-in --- this is a new version of Windows Defender which includes an antivirus component.

Third-party antivirus apps will keep disabling it, preventing Defender from functioning properly. So uninstall third-party antivirus software and Defender should then stay activated.

If you'd rather keep using the third-party antivirus, disable Windows Defender:

The general consensus seems to be that most third-party antivirus apps are way better at virus detection than Windows Defender, so you may want to base your decision on that.
