Solved WinXP Exception EInvalidOp in module jscript.dll at 000063CC

March 30, 2017 at 04:58:00
Specs: Windows XP
Error Message 'Exception EInvalidOp in module jscript.dll at 000063CC'
Occurs in html eidtors and in all browsers IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera
On viewing code from htmls editors Homesite or Homepad, the above error message occurs and then the editors close. There has been no problem in the past - I have tried various jscript fixes but no joy so far.

Any suggestions?

Web browsers and javascript are constantly being updated, sadly this does not apply to XP so compatibility issues were bound to arise one day - - you've reached that day.

You need to upgrade your OS, well overdue.

Hi Phill22

Many thanks for your comment and suggestion to upgrade OS.

Until then, a simple work around has been found. Use the html editors as usual to write the code and save the html file, but do not use the html editor internal preview mode which links to the browser. Open the saved html file directly from the browser - to check that everything works.
