Transfer Domain WITHOUT Renewal

Specs: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium, Unknown Processor, 512MB RAM
Hello, I was a member of the former IPost2Host ( and they sadly went out of business. Now, I'm only going to have access to change name servers until April 30th, but the hosting on my hosting expires in October, and my domain expires in January. When the hosting expires, I'm moving to a free hosting service, but I can't do that unless I can move my domain's nameservers. Is there a way to transfer a domain for absolutely nothing, no renewal fee or anything? If not, then is there a nameserver that I can point the domain to, and that nameserver forwards the domain to the site's nameserver and I can edit it there?

I don't think you can do that. Whenever you transfer a domain it's going to renew. Are you not planning on renewing your domain in the future when it expires. If you are then just do a transfer to another company.
