|Your links sound like they're direct links (ie. |
<img src="C:\mysite\image1.png" alt="" />) but when you moved them to a different location, the link to each image and other page were incorrect. Assuming your Flashdrive is drive F:\, the files are on the F drive while the links are still looking on the C:\ drive.
There is a remedy to this. You could use relative links. (ie.
<img src="image1.png" alt="" />) This means type out the location of each image/page in relation to the page you're currently coding. Let's say this is your hierarchy:
If you're coding the index page and wanted to link to Page 1, the link would look like this:
<a href="/folder1/page1.htm">Page 1</a>
If you're coding Page 2 and want to link to Page 1, the link would look like this:
<a href="../folder1/page1.htm">Page 1</a>
The two periods before the directory mean to first go up 1 directory, then down into the specified directory. If you have to go up two directories, try this:
The reason your external links work is because a link to http://www.google.com (for example) will always be the same link no matter what page you're linking from. It's always a direct link and never moves.
