Javascript get result to html button

Specs: Windows 10
Hello all,

As a new thing I am trying to learn (some simple JS scripting) I was following this example:
https://www.sitepoint.com/create-qr...

So as I am figuring this out, I do not get the "Go" button to work.
How do I put the result of the scan (URL) to that button and open it with something like 'window.location.relocate' ?

Pretty a noob with JS for the moment.

Any hints ?

Thanks
