Hello, I am an economics student and don't know much about computing so would like some help.

Is it possible for me to get prices of items from a supermarket and integrate them someway into my website, so potentially people can see the price of products from my website if they searched that product

"would i need the supermarkets permission?"

Almost certainly. You don't want to be accused of plagiarism. If it was a site where people reported prices (like GasBuddy.com), then that would likely be different.
