I am having the same problem now -- a Fatal Failure message on a plain white screen -- and have never had a problem with that before. A friend had tried to donate on our website, notified me of the problem, and the same thing happened when I pushed the Donate button. Oddly, my webmaster tried four computers today and none had this problem. Did you find a solution?

I'm confused -- you say it "works fine" and then that it gives a "fatal error". Are you saying that the HTML code to create a link works OK, but when anyone actually clicks on it, there's an error? The first thing I'd check is that you're using https instead of http to get to the PayPal site. Then, if there is information being sent over via a URL Query String (inline, in the URL) double check that it's correct. Are you "encoding" special characters in the URL such as spaces, slashes, etc. (%20 for space, etc.)? PayPal, or wherever you got the code for the link, should have an explanation for exactly how the link should be set up.
