Hi, I am kind of a newbie to css but I'm starting a project with WordPress. I got some code on the internet, modified it a little bit to be as I want it but for some reason it gets inactive. The modified code looks like this:

div.banner {

margin: 0;
font-size: 100% /*adjust to make the menu larger or smaller*/;
font-weight: bold;
line-height: 38px;
text-align: center;
position: fixed;
top: 0em;
left: auto;
width: 100%;
right: 0em;
background: #000;
-khtml-opacity: 0.8;
opacity: 0.8;

div.banner p {

margin: 0;
padding: 0.3em 0.4em;
font-family: Arial, sans-serif;
background: #000;
border: thin outset #000;
color: #000;

It is for a static menu on the top of the page. But when I then scroll down, the menu follows, but I can't click on any of the links! 'Under' the menu then is another div tag. It's the 'wrapper' from WordPress. As I said I'm new to this so if I'm missing something obvious or not providing enough info please tell me. Help much appreciated!

Edit. I see now that it actually does work in InternetExplorer, though not in Chrome or Firefox.

Never mind, I fixed it using z-index assignment!
