Specs: unixware 7.1.1, p4 3.00
hi help me .... i m using unixware7.1.1 and that floppy disk is fat32 disk

"mount -F dosfs /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy"

Have you checked the write protect tab on the floppy disk you are mounting? That's the first thing I'd check.

hi ... i checked that tad is closed fdd and cable aslo good. infact i installed through this fdd .

Check in your /etc/mnttab and see if there is an entry to mount the floppy as read only. This is the only thing I can think of that would cause this particular behavior. Unfortunately, I don't use Unixware so I won't be able to recreate the problem.
