Specs: Windows XP
Hi,

I have a .csv file having <database name,shcema name,username,passwd,table name,where condition>.
Step 1: i need to read these values from file.
Step 2 :using db name, schema name, username and passwd i need to connect to database.
Step 3 :using table name and where clause i need to generate sql( for ex: select * from <table name> where <condition e.g(goe_id=5001)>.
step 4: run the sql and export the data into a file and save.

This is basically to take backup of the database depending on user given parameters in .csv file.

Please help in case anyone can, waiting for the responses.

Cheers

In a Unix script, communicating with a database requires an interface. Therefore, you need to tell us what the database is.

Also, please tell us what Unix shell it is: ksh, bash, sh, etc.
