Unix script that calculates 5 scores from a file

Specs: Windows 7
I need a Unix script that that reads names and 5 scores from a file and calculates the average score for the student. You need to make use of the EXEC command in your script. Also the calculation of the average should be done in a function called avg() and the results (output to screen) in a function called results().

And at the bottom line, it's called homework.
Sorry, but we do not help on homework.
You have to use google yourself, to figure out, how to use the EXEC command and how to use functions in a script.

I agree with paulsep, but I'll get you started. This link describes reading a file line by line:

this link describes using shell functions:

Folks on this forum are willing to help when you make an effort and post code.

Why do you use it, if you don't know even this?
