unix script cp current files

Specs: Windows XP
hi I am working on sun solaris OS , and am new to scripting, need script to copy today's file generated from one directory to another, the file has name in the fomart, file_yMd.txt or filename_20100421.txt
cp form /opt/serv/reports/generated/rpt_20100421.txt /home/user/store/rpt_201004*.txt
fi [currentfile = exist ] then
cp to /home/user/store/rpt_201004*.txt
fi every day at 04:50.

If you can manually copy the file from A to B then you can write your own script using those same commands.
