rootvg disk is in missing state

Specs: Windows XP
AIX: disk is in missing state

rootvg is mirrored not able to unmirror the rootvg.

If rootvg were missing, the system would be down. I suspect a PV (Physical Volume) is missing and that is usually because a disk failed (assuming this is not a virtualized system (VIO)). Without more detail, it would be hard to take this any further. If you could post the unmirror command and output, more help might be possible.
