PC Outlook emails that are now unix executable files

Hi there,

I've been sifting through the posts on converting unix executable files but I'm not quite sure what my next steps should be in my particular case.

I have emails from my PC email account that are tied into that computer's Outlook program and rather than forward each individual email (would take hours) I thought the quickest method was to drag and save the emails onto a USB stick and now when I try to open them on my Macbook the email name says for example "followup.msg" and my Mac lists it as a Unix Executable File under the Kind column.

I thought to try and open my PC Outlook emails through my Macbook's Microsoft Entourage program but it didn't seem to work and now my Macbook lists the Outlook files as Microsoft Entourage.app Document under the Kind column.

Not sure if this is worth mentioning but when I transferred the email messages onto the USB stick from the PC, the PC recognized the files as html.

Please help!

Thanks :)

The problem is that Outlook uses a .pst file for emails. Nothing else in the world can read .pst files. That's why they won't open.
