Solved i want to add single quote to a character in my file

Specs: Windows XP
i want to add single quote to a character in my file in unix.

i want SENT =Y to be SENT='Y'

i am using below command

sed -e 's?SENT =Y?SENT='Y'?' Updatedata.sql

please help

sed -e "s?SENT =Y?SENT ='Y'?" Updatedata.sql

If you are using GNU sed, ie Linux, you can edit your data file in place:

sed -i "s?SENT =Y?SENT ='Y'?" Updatedata.sql
