Getting SED is garbled

Specs: Solaris 10
getting sed is garbled for sed -n 'H;${g;s/\n/ /g;p}' .

I want to remove carriage returns.

Operating system Soalris 10

By removing carriage returns, I am assuming you want all the lines on the file on one line?

If so, why not use one of these solutions:

xargs echo < file.txt

paste -s -d '\0' file.txt
