Specs: Windows 7
When we are doing FTP of file from Mainframe to UNIX, an extra EOF or CR character is inserted in file. So We need FTP command parameter to suppress this EOF or CR character. Or any other alternate way .

FTP shouldn't change the file itself. Are they text files? Are you doing the transfer from a command prompt from the Unix box?

After the ftp, and if you are on the unix box, try the dos2unix command:

dos2unix file newfile

where newfile will have the <CR> removed.

If your unix distribution does not have dos2unix, one of these shell scripting solutions will work:

Sorry, but I don't speak mainframe. My help is only good after the transfer where you can use unix tools to change the file.
