Can I register SCO UNIX 5.0.5?

Specs: SCO UNIX 5.0.5
Does SCO still provide register keys for Open Server 5.0.5 (They've not returned my calls)? If they do not, does anyone know the ramifications of not registering? I was told that my console window #1 would have constant scrolling messages, but that would be all. Is that true?

If SCO aren't going to tell you then I don't know that anyone else will know. I'm sure that you are aware of the potential problems in relying upon software from a company that is - to all intents and purposes - non-existant.

SCO do still provide keys for OpenServer 5.0.5 although the latest version is 5.0.7.

They can be contacted via:

Registering your product is a means of verifying your license with SCO for future reference. By not doing so, all that happens is that you see nagware on the console and in syslog.

Hope this helps.
